Entrepreneurs supported by Nabahya Food Institute through the Pro-CONGO Program participated in a training session focused on essential entrepreneurial skills.
Module: Soft Skills & Entrepreneurial Leadership
Trainer: Mrs. Anne Marie Masengu, HR Consultant and Certified Entrepreneurship Coach, with experience in entrepreneurial coaching, human capital development, business development, marketing, sales, negotiation, and strategic partnerships.
The session focused on key skills every entrepreneur needs to build and sustainably grow a business:
• Entrepreneurial mindset: developing vision, calculated risk-taking, innovation, and a results-oriented approach.
• Resilience and failure management: learning from challenges and turning setbacks into opportunities for growth.
• Personal organization: managing time, priorities, and setting clear and achievable goals.
• Communication and negotiation: communicating effectively, listening actively, and building win-win relationships.
• Strategic networking: developing professional relationships based on trust, collaboration, and mutual value.
• Public speaking and pitching: presenting a business clearly, confidently, and convincingly.
Key takeaway: Building a successful business requires more than technical expertise. Entrepreneurs must be able to lead with a clear vision, make informed decisions, overcome challenges, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships.
We sincerely thank Mrs. Anne Marie Masengu for sharing her expertise and practical insights, and all the entrepreneurs for their active participation.
Through the Pro-CONGO Program, we continue investing in the skills entrepreneurs need to strengthen their businesses, create opportunities, and achieve sustainable growth.
