Waste Recycling

🌍 Building a circular economy through knowledge and innovation in Baraka! ♻️

As part of the ECOCIRC project, facilitated by Nabhaya Food Institute (NFI) and FUDE, we organized a 5-day hands-on training workshop 🤝 that brought together 12 local enterprises in Baraka.

🌱 The workshop focused on equipping participants with practical skills to transform organic waste into eco-friendly briquettes—a sustainable alternative to traditional cooking fuels that helps reduce waste, protect forests 🌳, and create new income opportunities 💼.

💡 More than producing briquettes, the true impact of this initiative lies in knowledge transfer. Participants gained practical experience, learned sustainable production techniques, and are now better equipped to apply and share these skills within their communities.

🌍 By turning organic waste into clean energy solutions, we are empowering local entrepreneurs and contributing to a more sustainable, resilient, and circular economy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
